Speech New Zealand Theatre In Action syllabus aims to develop appreciation of the art of theatre along with increasing competence in the techniques and skills of presentation, interpretation and creation of drama and theatre.
The Theatre in Action Syllabus will help students to:
- Collaborate with others in a group situation
- Communicate creative, personal and researched ideas
- Communicate and interpret ideas through poetry, stories and drama
- Develop ensemble presentational skills
- Communicate with audiences.
Speech New Zealand Theatre in Action syllabus is designed to:
- Work alongside a wide range of community activities in drama and theatre
- Complement the drama curriculum at primary and secondary levels
