Speech and Drama

 Candidates will

• Develop versatility and confidence in the use of language

 Examinations assess candidates'

• Ability to interpret and present prepared work with sensitivity and sincerity
   
  
• Imaginative responses in improvised work
   
  
• Ability to problem-solve on role play
   
  
• Conversational ability
   
  
• Capacity to listen, think and respond with courtesy
   
  
• Use of appropriate vocabulary
   
  
• General communicative skills

 The Syllabus -

• Has nine levels - Initial to Grade Eight
   
  
• Is suitable for candidates from about seven years upwards
   
  
• Encourages group examinations
   
  
• Provides for certificates to be issued to all successful candidates
   
  
• Provides prescriptions for Diplomas and Fellowships, which are available for those seeking teaching or performance qualifications
