Public Speaking & Communication
Candidates will
- Develop versatility and confidence in the use of language
 
- Increase their ability to express thoughts and opinions with clarity
- Improve listening skills
- Extend social skills
- Speak audibly with clarity and vitality
Examinations assess candidates'
- Competence in the basic skills of Public Speaking and Communication
 
- Ability to structure and present speeches appropriate to an audience, purpose and occasion
- Capacity to listen, think and respond with courtesy and appropriate vocabulary
- Conversational ability
- Discriminatory powers and sense of responsibility as public speakers
The Syllabus -
- Has nine levels - Initial to Grade Eight
 
- Is suitable for candidates from about seven years upwards
- Encourages group examinations
- Provides for certificates to be issued to all successful candidates
- Provides prescriptions for Diplomas and Fellowships, which are available for those seeking professional and teaching qualifications
